Sandringham Royals 1 lost to Blackburn Orioles 8
The Sandringham Royals met Summer League top team, the Blackburn Orioles at Billabong Park on Sunday.
The Orioles started their highly regarded import pitcher, Jake Tuck. He dominated the game, pitching
8 innings for 7 strike-outs 0 walks 5 hits with a strike rate of 80%.
The Royals had no answer, producing 5 scattered hits, only getting 7 players on base in the first 8 innings.
The situation changed when Tuck was replaced by closer Ryan Mitchell who allowed 3 hits and the Royals one run.
Catcher Marco Lezaic achieved 2 singles, Rob Anthony a double and Jake Wonnacott, Ryan Morris, Declan Ferguson, Nathan Picchioni & Jordyn Barnett all singled for 8 Hits.
In contrast Blackburn plundered Royals pitchers Brayden McConkey, Kynan Wilcox and Terry Jeon for a total of 17 hits. Brayden and Kynan conceded the Orioles 8 runs.

The Royals have moved to 5-7 on the season. This week, they are back at Tulip St, for a clash against the 3-8 Doncaster Dragons.
