We have a return to training date being the week of 26th October with a Return to Play date of 13th November for Women’s and the 14th November for Juniors and Seniors.
Friday night Juniors will commence 19th November.
However….as we are all aware things can change very quickly with the covid virus amongst the community.
With the ever-increasing opportunities for community members to ‘be jabbed then double jabbed “the pathway for resumption of many activities including our sport is very clearly laid out.
It has been well documented the target all Victorians need to achieve before we can return to “life, as we know it”.
Let’s hope we maintain the commitment to the cause, and we achieve the roadmap targets sooner rather than later.
We are soon anticipating access to our clubrooms for the purpose of a pre-Summer clean after the Winter team was denied access at the commencement of this latest lockdown.
We are certainly hoping that we will have access by the last week of October although it is highly likely that there will be some form of covenants applied.
All club members will be advised of respective training times prior to Return to Training commences with allocated times allotted to teams.
Please ensure you have completed some form of strenuous exercise leading up to training to reduce the likelihood of muscular injury and or repetitive strain injuries.
I advise that there will be no mid-week senior games prior to the Christmas break this season and there may, at times be changes made by BV if a covid outbreak effects any club throughout the season.
BV are determined to see a meaningful season completed and we support their efforts.
New uniforms have arrived along with undershirts…those who requested specific numbers we have attempted to accommodate your requests…. also available are our new club Hoodies which have been displayed and promoted thanks to Marty Smith on our Team App platform…. pre-ordering is recommended to avoid disappointment!
Finally, our Winter team (B1) enjoyed an un-celebrated Covid effected premiership this year.
Given the right circumstances and the opportunity we will duly recognise the fine achievement of these players.
Congratulations also to Robbie Anthony and Adam Diamond who tied for third at the recent DBA Obrien medal count for the B1 competition. Well done you guys!
Looking forward to seeing everyone real soon, start practising and stay safe.
