Senior Scorecard – 6/7 March 2021

What a weekend of final round games for the 2’s,3’s, 4’s and our Women …. along with a W for the penultimate game of the year for our Ones.
Our Women’s team had a solid win over Springvale and in doing so have set themselves up with the double chance as finals kick off this weekend. Their result will mean the home final we hoped for will have to wait.
Our Three’s have finished the regular season at the top of the standings and will certainly go into the post season with a solid chance. Congratulations to Matt Taylor and the team.
The Two’s have completed the season on a high surviving a tight finish against Fitzroy. The season has been a tough one – but the final weeks have been impressive and show just how determined this team was.
The Four’s gave up early runs again and couldn’t find any of their own in what was a disappointing end to the season. Amidst some solid plays the offence let the team down with an inability to hit the ball on the ground – or at least into gaps. Despite the result the signs are positive with some great individual performances by the younger members of the playing group.
A home run to Zach Skinner and a grand slam to Will Tucker set alight the Royals offence against the Lions on the weekend and opened up a game that was line ball after 5 innings. A strong finish allowed the Royals team to add a flurry of late runs for the win.
The One’s will return to Jack Guiliano Field on SATURDAY at 3.30 for their final regular season game against Waverley.
