For those of you that may not be aware, our Club President, Greg Street suffered a severe heart attack on Anzac Day. Through the wonderful ongoing efforts of the medical staff looking after Greg, he is thankfully still with us and after 45 days in intensive care was moved to the ward for recovery. He is progressing well, but will remain the Alfred until all medical goals have been met and then will head to a rehab hospital. The head of the Respiratory Ward has given the ‘all clear’ to have the family puppy Billie, visit him in his room, which has pleased Greg enormously. Even in his current limited capacity, he is still pestering his wife Jan to make sure the Committee and key club volunteers are doing what needs to be done to get the Club ready for all the members and the summer season.
With above in mind, the Committee has some interim measures in place, which will be discussed at the upcoming AGM and Office Bearers Election evening, BUT like all volunteer organisations, were are in need of a quite a few more committee members who can take on some duties around the Club throughout the season. No matter how little you think you can contribute, please show your support of the Club by contacting any of the Committee members, attending the AGM and putting you hand up for a general committee position.
You can contact any of the committee members via details listed at: Club Contacts
